Privacy Policy

MedicoLysis ("we," "our," or "us") is a patient-facing health monitoring platform operated by Proxima X Corp. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MedicoLysis web application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Health Records: You may upload medical documents (PDFs, lab results, clinical notes). These documents are processed to extract structured health data (diagnoses, medications, lab values, vitals) that powers your personalized health monitoring.

Phone Number: If you opt in to SMS notifications, we collect and verify your phone number using a one-time verification code. Your phone number is stored securely and used solely to deliver health notifications you have requested.

Notification Preferences: We store your notification channel preferences (push, SMS), severity thresholds, quiet hours, and per-organ notification settings.

Usage Data: We collect standard usage data such as session activity, feature usage, and error logs to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Health Monitoring: To power autonomous organ agents that monitor your health records, search for relevant medical research, and deliver personalized findings.
• Notifications: To send push notifications to your browser and/or SMS messages to your verified phone number when your organ agents find important health information.
• SMS Messages: We send SMS messages only for: (a) phone number verification codes, (b) daily health digest summaries, and (c) urgent health alerts from your organ agents. Message frequency varies: daily digests are sent once per day; urgent alerts are sent as they occur (typically 0-3 per week). Message and data rates may apply.
• Service Improvement: To identify and fix bugs, improve features, and ensure service reliability.

3. How We Protect Your Information

• All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit.
• Health records are stored under your user account and are only accessible by you and our backend processing services.
• We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in.
• Phone numbers are stored in Firestore with access restricted to your authenticated account.
• SMS is sent via Twilio, a SOC 2 Type II certified communications platform.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or health data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

• Google Firebase: Cloud infrastructure for data storage, authentication, and hosting.
• Anthropic (Claude AI): Health records are processed by AI models to extract medical data and generate personalized insights. Data is sent via API and is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes.
• Twilio: Phone numbers and SMS message content are transmitted to Twilio for delivery. Twilio does not use this data for marketing.
• PubMed / NIH: De-identified search queries (medical terms, not patient identifiers) are sent to public medical research databases to find relevant articles.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access: You can view all your health data within the application.
• Data deletion: Visit Delete my app data to check availability, request deletion, or contact support. This removes app content and resets preferences while preserving your login, credits, purchases and billing records. It does not delete your account.
• SMS Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to immediately stop receiving text messages. You can also disable SMS in your notification settings within the app.
• SMS Help: Reply HELP to any SMS message for support information.
• Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your browser settings or within the app's notification settings.
• Notification Preferences: You can customize which organs send you notifications, set severity thresholds, and configure quiet hours in the Settings menu.

6. Data Retention

App data is kept until you remove it or request data deletion. Data deletion covers health records, uploaded and generated files, conversations, agents, spaces, saved knowledge, search memory and app preferences. Your login, credit balance, purchase history and billing records remain. Automatic credit reload is turned off.

While deletion is in progress, app activity is paused. The request status distinguishes deletion in progress, failed steps needing attention, and verified removal from active app stores. A request receipt is retained for 30 days; a minimal reset marker remains with your account to prevent old work from restoring deleted data.

Removal from active app stores is separate from backup, infrastructure-log and service-provider retention. Storage recovery copies may remain until their configured retention expires. Contact us for the applicable retention details. Data you downloaded, or messages already delivered outside the app, cannot be removed by this operation.

7. Children's Privacy

MedicoLysis is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the application or email. Your continued use of MedicoLysis after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
